We have an amazing opportunity for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to join the team as part of our Cheese Bar in the Auckland Viaduct. 

Our team is extremely passionate about cheese and we are looking for someone who shares that passion for food and cheese. 

This role will be responsible for the efficient, effective, and profitable running of the Whitestone Cheese Bar on a day-to-day basis. Previous managerial experience and a strong customer focus is required. LCQ and barista experience is an advantage. Further training regarding specialty cheese will be provided. This position also offers the unique opportunity to earn operational profits. 

The days of work are Wednesday - Sunday with varying full-time hours. The hours are flexible but are based around store demand. Weekend work will be required. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Manage the liquor licence and adhere to all legal requirement
• Manage the team and provide training when required
• Maintain sufficient stock levels in store
• Interact with customers in a professional, friendly manner
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store and equipment
• Prepare food and beverages as required

Applicants for this position require:

• 1+ years’ experience in a managerial position
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and clients
• Passion and knowledge of specialty cheese is a benefit
• Food handling and hygiene qualification is an advantage
• LCQ certificate
• Barista experience and/or qualification
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to manage a team and communicate clearly
• NZ residency or a valid NZ working visa
