JOB DESCRIPTION

IRIS Hotel Group spans multiple, well known, large turnover venues within the Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, with a variety of dining and entertainment offerings.

THE IVANHOE HOTEL, a much-loved local pub, is located in the heart of The Corso in Manly, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.  Offering a refreshing, timeless and sophisticated setting, The Ivanhoe Hotel has a strong emphasis on food, quality and produce. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including venue opening and set-up, receiving deliveries, ordering & liaising with suppliers, changing kegs, cleaning beer lines and offering operational support and assistance to the venue.  Due to the nature of the role, there is a fair bit of heavy lifting involved.
  
This role is perfect for a passionate and experienced Cellar Hand or Duty Manager looking for a step up into a high volume, multi faceted venue or an experienced Cellar Manager looking to progress within a major hospitality group.

We are looking for an experienced Cellar Hand who enjoys being part of a fun and enthusiastic team. A good knowledge of cellar operations is a must.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar position
  • The ability to work with efficiency and speed whilst maintaining quality
  • Enthusiasm with all tasks and the ability to work with confidence under pressure
  • A willingness to work with the team as well as unsupervised
  • Applicants must be flexible and be available to work a variety of day and weekend shifts
  • Knowledge of cellar operations
  • Good communication skills
  • Stock control
  • Inventory management
  • Quality control
  • Beverage knowledge
