JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking Casual F&B Attendants to join our Brisbane Showgrounds and Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) teams for the upcoming events.

Food and Beverage Attendants are responsible for the preparation and service of food & beverage within the Brisbane Showgrounds and the Royal ICC while ensuring customers are receiving a fast, efficient, friendly and professional five-star service at all times.

This is an extremely busy period approaching with hours available and ongoing casual work available for star performers.

The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) owns and operates the historic Brisbane Showgrounds precinct, home to the iconic Royal Queensland Show and more than 300 events a year. The 22 hectare precinct, just 1.5kms from the CBD attracts a million visitors a year and is the state’s largest indoor / outdoor events space featuring the vibrant King Street dining precinct and the five star Royal International Convention Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure a five-star standard of service at all times for clients, meet and greet all guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Ability to Carry Three plates, Five plate clear, Tray and Wine/Drink service.
  • Provide quick, friendly and efficient food and beverage service
  • Perform bar service operations of presenting, opening and pouring.
  • Ability to learn and explain menu and beverage items to patrons.
  • Setup and reset specific Conference & Function activities as directed.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of people
  • Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen and other areas of operation
  • Responsible for cash takings, cash register reconciliation and use of food and beverage computerised point of sale and event systems.
  • Immaculate standard of personal grooming and presentation
  • Ability to resolve complaints and accelerate to management when necessary.
