JOB DESCRIPTION

Beachside restaurant located in Brighton, Melbourne Victoria requires casual chefs to be part of our kitchen staff and join our team.

We are a supportive workplace with a dynamic friendly team. We have a well-equipped kitchen that caters for our public restaurant, function rooms and private member’s bar. 

The ideal candidates must have experience with al a carte service and functions. As well as been available to work weekends and nights.

The right people will have the ability to work on their own but also as a part of a team. We strongly encourage you to bring creativity, positive attitude into the kitchen with a willingness to learn and develop new and existing skill. 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Apprentice Chef
Breakfast Chef
Commis Chef
Cook

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 years experience in a similar position
  • Flexible multitasking skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The ability to work on a rostered shift basis and able to cover shifts when needed
  • A team player
  • Empathy and the will to help other
  • Knowledge of kitchen station including grill & larder 
  • Good food hygiene practice 
  • Knowledge of allergens 
  • Trade qualified certificate 3 in cookery/ hospitality or equivalent
