Cafe Manager
Full-time, permanent role
Monday to Friday
Spencer Lane, Brisbane CBD
Start date - ASAP (prior to 01 July 2022)

Spencer Coffee Bar is looking to fill an exciting role as cafe manager of our busy laneway cafe - someone who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career, and is committed to working hard to lead our team, and grow the business.

ABOUT YOU

• Confident, friendly, approachable, genuine and hard working
• 2 years experience with speciality coffee (or equivalent in skills and manner) inc. dialling in, adjusting, weighing shots
• Ability to troubleshoot & take appropriate action on minor or major issues when required
• Fast, efficient, super clean and tidy (high volume rushes, so speed is essential) 
• A multitasking superstar - a leader who is calm under pressure, consistent with service & quality control 
• Ready to manage a small team within daily operations, build customer relationships and enjoy a fun atmosphere with staff
• Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

• Permanent salary (after completion of trial period) 
• 5 days per week Monday to Friday - operating hours are currently 6.30-2pm 
• Early morning starts
• Daily operations, including opening and closing procedures. 
• Recruitment and training of new staff members
• Supervising and assisting with all FOH operations
• Stock control & ordering 
• Maintaining hygiene standard and quality control
• Delegation and implementation of strong business systems and procedures 
• Motivate and contribute to a fun and positive work environment 
• Working closely with hands-on owner (who works approx. 15hours per week on the floor)
