JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Head of on Premise and Cellar Doors, this newly created role will be responsible for leading and managing the venue to achieve exceptional consumer experiences in line with Brand ethos. This will include a focus to grow evangelism in the brand, lifetime value of consumer who visits the venue through club recruitment, and delivery of sales targets.

Excitingly, this role will also oversee the set-up of the new cellar door and retail store, leading up to the opening later this year. Upon opening, this role will be responsible for leading the team running the venue on a day-to-day basis. The business manager will also work collaboratively with the on-site managers who oversee the restaurant, function centre, and future accommodation project.

This role will be based on-site at the new St Huberts cellar door in the stunning Yarra Valley.

  • Evolve and develop the strategic Business plan for venue, in consultation with Head of On Premise & Cellar Doors and the St Huberts marketing team.
  • Lead and develop a diverse team of permanent full-time, part time and casual staff across cellar door tasting room and retail store.
  • Connect, develop and nurture relationships that directly improve the fiscal performance & awareness of venues, across key tourism bodies.
  • Ensure a safe work environment conforming to TWE policies
  • Deliver the key financials for TWE – volume, Gross Revenue, EBIT including overhead and trade spend budgets
  • Manage prioritisation of sales growth in venues through wine sales, merchandise sales, experiences, and food & beverage offerings
  • Deliver on key metrics club recruitment, mailing list sign ups, average order value & conversion.
  • Seek out over and above opportunities for value growth based on consumer and business needs
  • Ownership of timely communication of venue performance and opportunities at hand
  • Ensure execution of in venue standards and consumer experiences.
  • Manage strong productive relationships with all members of the venues team and facilitate cross functional relationships to deliver agreed plans with marketing, market activation and design studio team
  • Be an outstanding ambassador for the St Huberts brand
  • In the first 6 months there is an expectation of weekend work to ensure that the business is operating to standard during its busiest times.

REQUIREMENTS

With a Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing, you will have significant experience in Cellar Door/Hospitality management roles incorporating large team leadership positions.

  • Demonstration of a strong strategic business focus.
  • Experience in dealing with demanding customers
  • Ability to understand, embrace and capitalise on change.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven record of Sales success and delivery to targets.
  • Wine sales experience preferred
