About the business

Hanmade’s Bakehouse is a bakehouse/cafe in Eastern Creek Quarter. We are a business that is dedicated to creating memorable experiences with our range of Filipino inspired food, gourmet desserts, baked goods and Bespoke cakes.

We are seeking 6 Team Member/ Cook to join our team for our Cafe opening in November 2022. This is a great opportunity to work as a part of a team in a fun and supportive environment.

Position Summary

As a Team Member/ Cook , you are responsible for operating the kitchen, creating and plating delicious meals . We are looking for passionate individuals that aim to provide high quality meals and are dedicated to ensuring consistency and speed in our service to enhance the experience of our customers . Your main duties involve kitchen prep, cooking, deep frying, plating , delivering the best customer service and ensuring KPIs are met  . You will also have a part in developing new products and seasonal offerings.

You are responsible for creating meals with the standard recipes and presentations. You will be required to maintain the highest cleanliness and hygiene standard in the kitchen.

The successful candidate must be able to work morning shifts across a seven day roster. Weekend work will be required.

What's Next?

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview via Zoom. Successful applicants of the interview stage will then proceed to a short trial shift.

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $500.00 – $1,000.00 per week

We are looking for :

• Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen
• Individuals who can learn and maintain knowledge of our changing menu
• Can make wholesome meals, sandwiches and salads from scratch
• Team players that work well with the team to ensure we provide exceptional customer service
• A positive attitude who is reliable ,has initiative and has to ability to perform well under pressure 
• Have good communication, time management and organisation skills
• Maintain clean and organised kitchen area
• Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards, eliminating cross-contamination, demonstrate proper food handling
• Adhere to Food Safety Standards and Monitoring Stock/Inventory control
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for you and your team
• General cleaning duties as required
