JOB DESCRIPTION

The Veneto Club was established in the 1960s, the organisation currently has over 170 employees and contributes to the Australian and Italian community through local sporting clubs and fundraising events, whilst also providing its 2000 members and the wider community access to function spaces and club facilities. Based in Bulleen it's easy to get to and lots of onsite parking is available.

The Role

You will be responsible on any given shift for overseeing the Bistro service, functions spaces, executing functions, and the general day-to-day running and organising of the spaces as required. The role will suit someone who wants to move into as manager role as there will be an admin aspect to the role at times and we will provide on-the-job training and external training.

  • Assist with service, managing bookings (Bistro), staff management
  • Ensure the smooth running of all the special events and maintain a high level of customer service 
  • You will be required to work at least one weekend night shift but this means you can have your pick of days off during the week and we are more than accommodating with leave and uni schedules. 
  • We have flexibility around full-time or casual positions for the supervisor role.
  • Pay is under Club Award and supervisor rates and all penalty rates paid 

Key requirements

  • At least 1-year experience as a supervisor/manager
  • Strong communication 
  • Motivated, determined, and looking for a challenge
  • RSA
  • Food safety certificates preferred
