Our Bistro Restaurant offers the perfect setting for guests wanting to unwind with friends and family. With a seasonal menu, guests enjoy beautiful flavours for breakfast, lunch and dinner across 7 days. 

The Role

As a passionate hospitality professional with substantial senior supervisory experience in a high volume food and beverage service environment, you will confidently lead and inspire our front of house team to exceed guest expectations.

No split shifts, shifts start from 6am to open, team closing times are no later than 10.30pm which are great hours working in this hustling environment.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Reporting to the Bistro Manager, you’ll know you’re right for the role if you have all of the above and more :

  • Substantial (2+ years) Senior supervisory experience in a comparable high volume restaurant business
  • Experience managing a team of up to 35 staff including permanent supervisors
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership capability inclusive of the natural ability to effectively communicate, motivate and organise
  • Hands on management and training style
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge
  • accept responsibility and accountability for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of allocated shifts and overall presentation of the outlet
  • monitor restaurant bookings throughout service to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
  • competently operate POS system and handle and reconcile cash.
  • Be reliably available for a variety of shifts within Bistro operating hours, across 7 days, especially week-ends.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale systems
  • Accredited knowledge of RMLV, RSA and industry regulations
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and able to problem solve on your feet in a positive manner
  • High attention to detail
