North & Common
This suburb has changed. A lot. But what hasn’t changed is its openness to people of all kinds.
To new ideas and shared ideals. North & Common stands for the shared ideals of Melbourne’s inner north. Multiculturalism. Simple things done well. And the ability to find beauty and community where others wouldn’t expect it.
We strive to be a place the north celebrates and celebrates at. A place that’s always welcoming and warm. Kind of like an extension of your living room, but with a preposterously large fireplace. It doesn’t matter what your history is. It doesn’t matter where you come from. We can all sit down to a good meal and find our common truth.
That’s our north star. Welcome to North & Common!
The Opportunity
This incredibly unique venue is sure to be buzzing with 330 seats between the various restaurant and bar areas, including a large team of food and beverage enthusiasts ready to take care of our guests. We are currently seeking a dynamic Baristas to support the Manager in the front of house operations.
Does this sound like you?
In your book, orders only come from the menu. You’re a food and beverage superstar and, like us, you have an appetite for putting others first. You thrive at the micro level, while never losing sight of ‘big picture’ goals. Think zero food waste, meaningful connection to place (#sourced #local), and life-long learning.
So, if you’re looking for a career with no limits, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and join our team of innovators and go-getters at Pentridge. Bottom line: we want you to let the good times roll, minus any untoward hiccups. Of course, we know only the good-humoured, bubble-inspired variety happen on your watch. Champagne, anyone?
The Precinct & Operator
These venues form part of a larger hospitality development on the Pentridge site managed by TFE hotels. The other parts of the development include and fully immersive experiential urban retreat, a events and weddings brand, museum and tourism offering in conjunction with National trust, and an Adina Apartment Hotel tower. This development will complement the existing planned Brewdog Brewery opening, along with on-site retail centre.
Additional benefits:
Close to Public transport – route 19 tram stops right outside our door, short 10min walk to Coburg and Batman train stations.
Staff meals provided
25% discount at TFE venue food and beverage outlets
Discounted hotel rooms Australia wide
Opportunities for WSET and CMS training for the right applicant
Career progression through TFE hotels around Australia
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Life at TFE is brimming with possibility. We’re the only international hotel group headquartered in Sydney, and we’re looking for passionate people ready to dive in and move with us. And with a pipeline of new hotels and restaurants alongside a diverse portfolio that includes New Zealand’s first green 5-star hotel and one of the best international cocktail bars in the world; there’s lots to do, but we make sure we have a few laughs along the way. Everyone at TFE is invited to take ownership and help shape our future. If you’re authentic, flexible and talented, you’ll find more than you expected, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
