JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a busy cafe seeking a competent and experienced Barista to join our team. Applicants preferably have worked in a fast-paced café/restaurant environment. We are offering up to 30 hours for this position to the right person.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

We need someone who knows basic barista skills
You will need to love hospitality, working in a great team and serving the public
You must be able to demonstrate a bright, bubbly, friendly personality and have a natural aptitude for providing the highest level of customer service
You will have an eye for detail, excellent personal presentation, a committed work ethic and a professional and confident communication style
In addition to working behind the coffee machine you will be involved in all general cafe work including food handling, table/counter service, cash/eftpos handling, & maintaining cleanliness standards
Need to be able to work autonomously
Need to know how to adjust the grinder, follow recipes and understand the complexity of producing and outstanding quality in taste
Applicants must be flexible and be available to work a variety of day and weekend shifts
