A specialty coffee focused casual barista position is available at Thieves Coffee! We’re on the lookout for some amazing talent to run our takeaway bar at our warehouse in Fitzroy.

Who are we? We are Australia’s largest coffee subscription business, offering our customers a delivery of Australian roasted specialty coffee from all over the country. We have just opened a little cafe attached to our warehouse and are looking for someone interested in jumping on deck with a hands-on approach and interest in the cafes development. 

If you love trying new coffee, experimenting with brews, learning about the industry, flexing your creativity and making strong connections in the process, then this is the position for you.

About the role:

• This is a casual barista/FOH position (Around 2-4 days a week) with prospects of part-time employment for the right candidate
• Monday to Friday only. Yep, no weekends!
• Must be comfortable working autonomously behind the machine
• Mostly takeaway only, so no dishes, running food, or clearing tables 
• Engaging customer service is what we’re all about. If you are friendly and love having a chat with the locals, then this is the role for you. Coffee knowledge can always be trained, so it is a great attitude that we are really looking for

A little bit about you:

• At least 6 months of barista experience
• A great hospo spirit!
• Enjoys bantering with customers
• Ability to work alone and in a team
• Can dial in recipes
• A passion for learning and desire to continuously grow and expand their coffee knowledge
