Situated on the picturesque Southbank promenade, boasting serene views of the Yarra River and the cityscape, Ludlow is a large multi-faceted venue that blends dining room and public bar vibes.  We are seeking an experienced Bar manager to join the team to help maintain and exceed our standards and reputation. 

Position Overview: Bar Manager

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a deep appreciation for creating memorable guest experiences. You will have the opportunity to shape Ludlow's beverage offerings, lead a talented team, and contribute to the overall success of the venue.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the bar operations, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Develop and implement creative and seasonal cocktail menus that align with Ludlow's concept and appeal to a diverse clientele.
• Curate an extensive wine list and a diverse selection of local and international beers, showcasing your expertise and passion for beverages.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and support staff, fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure a well-stocked and efficiently operated bar.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure the beverage offerings complement Ludlow's Modern Australian menu.
• Implement and uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the bar area.
• Contribute to promotional and marketing efforts, driving foot traffic and increasing the bar's visibility.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
• Exceptional customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Experience with inventory management and ordering processes.
• Understanding of safety and sanitation standards within a bar setting.
