Bar Manager

Start: ASAP Where: Sydney, NSW Type: Full time Pay: Award wage

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be direct support to our General Manager and Assist in leading and developing a strong and well-established FOH and BOH team.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations ensuring that the level of customer service is consistently in line with our brand standards.
  • Maintain an exceptional level of service and delivery of our drink lists. Have a confident level of knowledge in wines/spirits/cocktails and contribute and elevate the development of our beverage offering.
  • Complete orders, costings, and stock control within budgetary requirements.
  • Lead and introduce new ideas to our beverage program, and help our established bar team push boundaries and maintain an award-winning cocktail list.
  • Implement beverage-focused staff training and development.

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bar Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Have held a similar managerial position in a cocktail-driven venue for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Proven success in driving revenue, and profits, and managing stock control.
  • Strong cocktail and spirit knowledge.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to think on your feet and multi-task. Self-motivated, makes use of checklists and communication methods to manage own workload and give regular updates.
  • A strong understating of BOH systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • A passion for hospitality, leading from the front and developing brand relationships.
