The Venue
Award winning, Azabu has long been a mainstay in the Ponsonby dining scene and now with a beachside location in Mission Bay. Chef Yukio Ozeki has been serving his sublime Japanese cuisine made with the finest local ingredients for years. His menu combines Nikkei-influenced dishes and modern Japanese with an emphasis on the fun and the interesting. Azabu is an unassuming spot behind tinted windows in a quiet section of Ponsonby quietly winning awards and creating devotees.

The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced industry professional to step into the role of Sous Chef! Ideally you will have at least 2+ years experience in a comparable role within the hospitality industry, and ideally within an upmarket, high volume venue. Experience with Japanese cusine and cooking styles is a must, you will have effective team management experience including the ability to train and mentor your team. You will have the capability to maintain high food standards, experience in managing and monitoring financial budgets and food and labour costs, and the flexibility to work across a 7 day roster, including late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
