JOB DESCRIPTION

The Morayfield Tavern is on the hunt for an AVM to join the team!

Located just a few minutes from the Bruce Highway, Morayfield Tavern offers a relaxing dining experience in its Roadhouse Grill concept restaurant, a public bar thick with colourful characters and a bustling gaming room and team who are passionate about creating a memorable experience for its customers.

As an Assistant Manager, your role will involve:  

  • Assisting the Venue Manager of the day-to-day operations of running the venue  
  • Inspiring and leading a multi-skilled team  
  • Generating and reporting on revenue throughout the business  
  • Recruiting, training, and inducting new employees into the company.
  • Assisting with the implementation of marketing initiatives.
  •  Collaborating with and successfully communicating with all Head Office Departments

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Duty Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:  

  • 2+ years of experience in a management hospitality role  
  • Full working rights in Australia and valid RSA, RSG, TAB, QLD RMLV and approved managers license 
  • Ability to write and control an effective roster  
  • Stocktaking and ability to investigate stock loss  
  • Order and maintain par levels throughout both beverage and food departments  
  • Provide revenue generating ideas for the business  
  • Troubleshoot and work with IT department to ensure all POS systems, printers, and Ipads, computers are working properly  
  • Proficient computer skills and basic understanding of Microsoft Office
