JOB DESCRIPTION

Silks is one of Crown Melbourne's truly memorable dining experiences combining the fine tastes of authentic Chinese cuisine amid a striking interior including the restaurant's iconic Mongolian silk tent. The private dining rooms offer additional capacity for larger functions and can cater for a range of events.

A very rare & exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the dynamic & innovative Silks FOH team!

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this role needs a hospitality professional who will be accountable for the efficient operation of this premium style restaurant while remaining calm under pressure. You will ensure services provided are in accordance with the approved sequences of service and ensure every customer receives a personalised 5 star experience.

Food & Beverage Supervisor

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What you need:

  • Previous proven managerial experience, preferable in a similar premium restaurant environment, some knowledge of traditional Chinese cuisine is desirable 
  • Hands on experience with training, coaching, motivating and developing a large team
  • Strong business acumen, time management and organisational skills
  • Passion for the hospitality industry, demonstrated with sound product knowledge
  • Immaculate grooming standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with guests and stakeholders at all levels 
  • Must be fully vaccinated (with two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine) or have a genuine medical exemption to be eligible to work onsite
