The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at Spicers Clovelly Estate. You will be an integral part of delivering the bespoke Spicers Retreats experience to our guests at The Long Apron.

Set on a gentle rise in the tranquil Sunshine Coast hinterland, Spicers Clovelly Estate has a reputation for exceptional gourmet cuisine and a wonderfully charming and relaxed atmosphere. Located in Montville, the retreat is just over one hour from Brisbane and 30 minutes from Maroochydore. 

Set within the property, The Long Apron is not just a restaurant but a dining experience with a well-earned reputation for innovative dining experiences. The Long Apron is a Chef Hatted restaurant offering a taste of France in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Whether it's an intimate tasting menu of two or a group celebration, we take you on a gastronomic journey, epitomising culinary creativity, sharing our love of food and wine with you along the way.

Here's what you'll do…

  • Curate an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish.
  • Forge loyal relationships with guests and locals to promote repeated clientele.
  • Maximize and identify opportunities to sell products & experiences that suit the needs of our guests.
  • Management of financial cost measures including beverage and wage costs.
  • Coaching of your restaurant team to uphold service and quality standards.

Bar Manager
Shift Manager
Sommelier
Food & Beverage Supervisor

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

This is how you’ll know you’re right for this role...

  • Prior experience in fine dining or a hatted restaurant environment
  • A genuine love for great food & wine.
  • WSET level 2 or CMS certification (desirable).
  • Experience in leading a team to success.
  • A talent for customer service with a vibrant and outgoing nature.


Interview required

Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
