Tilley & Wills is seeking a passionate, committed hospitality professional to join the Leadership Team at The Shafston Hotel. We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager & collective venue team to successfully run the Hotel's operations in a hands-on role that includes FOH and BOH duties.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join the team as Tilley and Wills are in the process of renovating and refreshing all elements of Shafston Hotel. Under new ownership their objective is to become the home of sport and entertainment in East Brisbane.

Duties and Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to support the General Manager & the Operations Manager with the Hotel's day-to-day business operations. The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Leading a variety of internal teams that may consist of bar, gaming & retail staff, as we strive to offer outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ensuring we maintain exceptional venue standards in relation to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Creating and nurturing a positive work environment so that all team members can thrive.
  • Fulfil a variety of rotating rostered shifts including opens, mid-shifts, closes, weekends and public holidays in conjunction with our Hotel's operating hours.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What we’ll need from you?

  • Two years plus in a similar managerial role
  • Full working rights within Australia
  • Valid approved managers license & RMLV
