Barcats U18's team partner with AustralianSuper to share the 'must knows' about the hospitality industry and first jobs. There’s chance to build an online profile (CV) and access interview tips as well as hearing about casual employment in your local area. We have lots more sessions coming in 2024, so watch out for them at your school or higher education centre.

If you already have a job it's worth checking your minimum entitlements including the National Employment Standards (NES) and a minimum wage. The NES covers types of leave, public holidays and notice if you get fired. If you are an employee under 21 years of age, junior pay rates will apply. Use the FWO's Pay and Conditions Tool to calculate junior pay rates.
